Roof Top Operative Safety Training Course
This course is aimed at all those involved in working at height on roofs.
Objective: To provide the delegates with the knowledge to support the safe use of various types of anchor systems, pre-use inspection requirements and the correct fitting of the fall arrest harnesses.
The Course has been specifically designed to cover flat, pitched and fragile roofs, access and egress routes, fall prevention and fall arrest systems, fall prevention, fall arrest and PPE for working at height (including pre-use checks and adjustment).

Understanding Legislation relating to working safely when accessing and working on roof tops
Physics involved during a fall
Fall Factors
Correct selection of fall protection equipment – including common hazards associated with different types of equipment
Anchor points
Rooftop hazards
Fragile surfaces
Unprotected and protected roof edges
Adverse weather conditions
Roof access including safe ladder climbing
Mansafe systems, such as a Latchway System
Temporary and permanent fall protection systems used for working on flat roofs
