Introduction:
The Work at Height Regulations 2005 r5 states that only competent persons are permitted to use work at height equipment. The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1992 (PUWER), updated in 1998, now covers the use of work equipment in the workplace. The PPE Regulations 1992 r9 also states that PPE training must be provided if required. The aim of this course is to train people in the skills and knowledge needed to achieve the standards of competency required to carry out the pre-use inspection and safe and correct use of Harness and Lanyards in the workplace.
Course Objectives:
On completion of this course the trainee will be able to identify defects which is the purpose of the inspection to discover and to have a basic understanding of the safe and correct use of Harness and Lanyards.

The training is intended to benefit individuals involved with managing, supervising or wearing Harness and Lanyards at work.

Training Method:
This is a Half Day remote instructor led training course via Microsoft Teams with assessments. The course can be taken using your PC / Laptop or Mobile Device / iPad (or similar) from the comfort of your home / workplace.
